Oregon's cannabis market runs on two tracks that often confuse new customers: the recreational (adult-use) market, regulated by the OLCC, and the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP), run by the Oregon Health Authority. At Oregon Farmacy, we serve both — you don't need to choose a "side," and you don't need a medical card to shop with us.
Recreational customers must be 21 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID. OMMP cardholders may be 18 or older if they hold a valid medical marijuana card issued by the Oregon Health Authority, along with their ID. Everyone who walks through our door is checked against one of these two standards — no exceptions.
Recreational purchases are subject to Oregon's standard cannabis sales tax. OMMP cardholders are generally exempt from that sales tax on qualifying purchases when they present a valid, current OMMP card at checkout. That can make a meaningful difference on a larger order, so if you're a cardholder, always bring your card with you.
OMMP cardholders typically have higher possession and purchase limits than recreational customers under Oregon law, reflecting the program's medical framework. Limits can vary by product category (flower, concentrates, edibles, etc.), so if you're near a limit, just ask our team — we'll help you stay compliant while getting what you need.
